This city Primary School wanted to upgrade and make safe a balcony & ramp. The existing concrete surface was causing concern as it presented a slip risk, particularly in wet weather. And it was distinctly lacking in aesthetic appeal. There was a need to ensure the entire area delivered a safe and distinct experience for all users.
Antiskid’s expert staff liaised closely with the maintenance staff and building contractor to provide a solution that not only was safe and aesthetically appealing but that also could be delivered with minimal disruption to the normal operation of the school.
Solution:
Antiskid Industries recommended installing the OMNIGRIP Deco Surfacing System to the existing shared areas utilising a multiple colour application to delineate the locker areas from the general pedestrian areas. Deco is not only economical and ensures optimum safety for users but is also aesthetically pleasing, and in harmony with the surrounding environment.
The coloured areas were marked out and colours applied followed by the application of a UV Sealer to promote long design life and assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the installation. This solution is low maintenance and will continue to be a dynamic feature for many years to come with minimal maintenance requirements.
