Slip Resistant Surfacing System, Low Maintenance
Requirements:
A large regional abattoir had an issue with an ageing, 20 year old floor surface that was breaking up, experiencing some delamination and creating potential slip hazards.
Solution:
Antiskid designed a system that would consist of the latest technology poly cement products with antimicrobial properties. It is a Fast Curing system that is food grade approved and resists a wide range of organic and inorganic acids, alkalis, amines, salts and solvents. And it incorporates white quart aggregates with a high PSV. The system is thermal cycling resistant and high mechanical resistance meaning it retains its physical characteristics through a range from -40C up to +120C.
The team attended site from COB Friday and delivered a working floor when the doors opened on Monday morning. They removed the existing floor, diamond ground and prepared the surface and then applied the 3-part system. The client experienced minimal disruption and now has a world class flooring system. An all-round excellent result for our client.
