Perth Optus Stadium

> Visually dynamic, decorative bonded aggregate surfacing

> High aesthetics and wear component

The world-class multi purpose 60,000 seat Optus Stadium and Stadium Park was nearing completion, and one of the final pieces of this huge design project was for the installation of a pavement to the concourses leading to each of the stadium entrances. Architects Cox, Hassell and HKS, proposed a distinctive and colourful design inspired by the six seasons of the local indigenous people but which reflected Western Australia’s unique geology. The design encompassed over 24,000 sq metres and was commenced at every entry area and throughout the entire concourse.

Antiskid recommended Omnigrip Deco Asphalt pavement surfacing because of its high aesthetic and wear characteristics and the many colours to choose from to match and complement the Architects welcoming design specifications. The surface treatment was completed by installing distinctive colours such as Pearl Marble, Gold Marble, Black Pepper, Olive Green, Cotta Granite, and Red Granite which truly reflected the Architects vision of the six indigenous seasons and the local geology.
