Burswood Public Jetty

> Visually dynamic, decorative bonded aggregate surfacing

> High aesthetics and wear component

The Burswood Jetty is an exciting project as part of the transport strategy to support the Perth Stadium, the Department of Transport (DoT) was requested to construct a public jetty in the Swan River on the Burswood Peninsula to provide safe access to the Optus Stadium precinct for those choosing to arrive by private or charter vessel. It was conceived and designed as a purpose-built facility that would provide an alternative transport option to access Optus Stadium and the surrounding precinct as well as a new tourism offering to leverage the stadium and the iconic Swan River.

As such there was a clear vision for the aesthetic appeal of the jetty and surrounds in concert with a need to ensure the entire area delivered a safe and distinct experience for all users.

To complement the extensive use of the product throughout the entire concourse area of the greater stadium precinct, Omnigrip Deco was once again specified for the foreshore landing areas, utilising Olive Green and Black Pepper colours which tied in superbly with the surrounding parkland, waters edge and river itself.

Antiskid Industries were the recommended contractor for the project. Once again we liaised and consulted extensively with the various stakeholders to ensure that the project was completed in line with the complicated build schedule. The jetty was then opened by the Minister for Transport on 11 June 2018.
